Description

NGC 55 or known by the whale galaxy (from Wikipedia), a barred spiral galaxy, and sometimes also named as string of pearls.
I had a quite good night, guiding was most of the time close to 0.5 arc seconds (total), and become a bit worst towards the last hour, to 0.8 arc seconds.

I believe that this object is one of the nicer ones in the south hemisphere, of course it is a matter of preferences, considering that in the SH the Magellan clouds are quite impressive, but as a single target, certainly NGC 55 should be one of the nicer ones.
When captured with larger tubes and Ha filters you get amazing images and details.
This one, also from the backyard,
is one of my favorites: https://www.astrobin.com/ee2y2v/E/
In terms of resolution, perhaps this one is also amazing: https://www.astrobin.com/316418/
